About Deborah
Deborah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor (NC) and a Certified Addiction Professional both in Florida and Internationally. She is also a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist and a Certified Hypnotherapist. She recently became a Qualified Supervisor for professionals entering the field. Deborah graduated with her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, and her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from James Madison University.  She has over 25 years of business experience in the field of early childhood education and as executive producer of 10 education children’s albums and videos prior to beginning her work in counseling.
While continuing as a Primary Therapist at The Palm Beach Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida, she recently added the role of Clinical Outreach and Education Coordinator with Delphi Behavioral Health Group. This role allows Deborah the opportunity to share her ideas and techniques with other clinicians in the field. She combines her experience in music, communications and counseling to create a unique blend of expressive, experiential, and motivational tools to help the client and their families find the strength and motivation to make the necessary life changes for long term recovery.

TAAP is part of NAADAC and represents the professional interests of addiction counselors, educators and other addiction-focused health care professionals in Texas. An important part of the healthcare continuum, NAADAC members and its 47 state affiliates work to create healthier individuals, families and communities through prevention, intervention, quality treatment and recovery support.
Houston TAAP Advocacy
Moving forward our meetings will be held on the 4th Wednesday of every month. The meeting place is TBD, I will send out the location as soon as it can be confirmed. If anyone would like to host our meeting at their facility in the future please let me know and we can talk more about it. For more information, call or text me at  713-482-9961.
